Saving twenty pesos a day at this time when a regular alltext is P20 and a pack of pansit canton costs P8 might a dream you’ll want to realize. For a fact, saving P20 a day represents 140 a week and 600 a month. That won’t make you rich; but that amount is enough to give you some cash reserve whenever you need one. Now where on earth would you get that P20 a day to keep? Here is where you’ll get it.

1.    & nbsp;  Walk to places close to 1-kilometer. Daily savings -  P8-16

If you can walk the kilometer, then walk it. Stretch your muscle legs, stretch your pocket, and fatten your piggy bank.

2.    & nbsp;  Stop smoking. Daily savings – P 10-20

Take note of this: a stick of smoke costs you 5 minutes of your life. And think of this: 5 sticks will cost you 25 minutes of your life. Stop smoking and you don’t only prolong your life. You’ll also make your pocket heavier.

3.    & nbsp;  Stop drinking liquor. Daily savings – P25 – 30.

A bottle of Tanduay costs P25; a bottle of Pailsen costs P28. Now try to cut this from your daily expenses and you’ll save you a whooping P800+ pesos.

4.    & nbsp;  Sleep early. Daily savings – priceless

You may not count the monetary advance that you’ll gain by sleeping early. But then, I feel it is a must for us to sleep early. First is that you’ll target the eight hours of sleep a night, plus, you’ll save your electricity bills. I’m not an electrician but I know you can save your pocket by turning off that bulb when nine or ten o’clock ticks.

5.    & nbsp;  Surf the Net when only need. Daily savings – P15 – 20

You don’t necessarily have to update your FS account everyday. You also don’t have to watch that oh-so-lovely YouTube video. Sometimes, you’ll just have to marginalized your need from your want of the Internet.

6.    & nbsp;  Keep your cellphone off. Daily savings – P15-30

Sorry, unlimited addicts but you’ll have to lock your phones off, especially if you want to save money. Texting your neighbor or your classmate isn’t that practical at all. If you want to talk to the girl next door, get out from your room and knock at her door; not by sending her second-after-second text messages.

7.    & nbsp;  Stop going to the mall. Daily savings – P 16 -32 pesos

The daily savings that I’ve mentioned above that you’ll earn by staying your feet away from the mall is just representative of the back and forth fare. That doesn’t include the cost of eating out, or buying stuff, which I know will save you more. You won’t actually die when you stop going to the mall, right?

So there you go folks, if you want to save at least P20 a day, follow one of my tips. Combining all the seven tips, you’ll save an astounding P4,200+ a month. And that, is true. Try it for yourself.
